“As a self-proclaimed observer of the universe, I stumbled upon the idea of ‘growth’ early on in life and wanted to dig deeper into the concept. By thinking about it repeatedly throughout all these years, I’ve perceived that growth isn’t straightforward but rather a complex process. Personally, I’d like to compare growth to respiration since it involves breathing in and breathing out. For me, breathing in corresponds to the heartbreaks we may endure throughout, and breathing out to the beauty we spread due to those downfalls we’ve had previously. On top of that, it seems to me that the greater the ache, the higher forms of beauty are spread in society. And as I began to imagine the repetitive nature of growth, I felt the charm of having been born over and over again spiritually. The art piece “Freshly Bloomin’” is my endeavor to express the fascinating nature of growth deeply embedded in humankind.”
